One of the oldest temples in Quang Ninh province, Quan Lan Temple pays tribute to Lý Anh Tông, the former king of Vietnam who established a commercial port in the region in 1149, and Trần Khánh Du, a military hero of the Tran Dynasty who led soldiers to victory against foreign invaders. Built in the 18th century, Quan Lan Temple is an architectural wonder still well-preserved after hundreds of years. Its pillars are made of Man Lai wood, sourced from a tree that only grows on Ba Mun Island in Van Don district.
